CHIEF ESTIMATOR
My electrical contractor client in Orange County, CA is rapidly growing and has an immediate need for a Chief Estimator, as well as a Sr. Estimator.

DUTIES:
- Review specifications, drawings and attend pre-bid meetings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
- Plan, direct and coordinate activities of a large electrical estimating department.
- Make sure working documents and data are maintained to back-up estimate figures.
- Responsible for working with General Contractors, Sub-contractors and equipment suppliers during the bid process to obtain complete bid package information.
- Evaluate and review all levels of electrical estimates.
- Attend post-bid interviews with complete understanding of scope and pricing.
- Manage and train estimators.
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Chief Estimator experience in electrical construction. Preferred
- Degree in related field desirable but not necessary
- Design/assist experience. Preferred
- Complete takeoff of electrical drawings competence
- Fluent with estimating software
- Able to understand architectural, structural, mechanical and related drawings
- Ability to work on, and complete an estimate without guidance
- Ability to calculate loads in accordance with N.E.C. is a plus
